| Ehhh, its alright, I'd honestly like it if they'd stop making so many damn peripherals for it that make you exercise. Don't get me wrong, I see where they are going with trying to make people healthy but video games are for being sitting around and being lazy, not for exercise. I don't know thats just the way I see it
Also, I think it would be good if they actually made more M games instead of just ALL E games (they probably have some M rated games, but I think they need more). Being family friendly is good but I miss some of the old violent M rated games like Conker's Bad Fur Day and Goldeneye 007 from the N64 days, or at least E games that had darker themes to them like The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask

| It's more fun when you play it at a friend's house, less fun when you actually own it. | |

I did notice this. XD (My brother let me borrow his) I really enjoyed playing Brawl for what short time I got to play. Bowling was pretty fun when playing with a couple other people. My brother and I were getting pretty competitive. Tails: Really? Awesome!

| Yea, I liked bowling and baseball, they where fun. I don't know though, I've always seen video games as ways to be lazy and an escape from the world, not of getting together with family and burning calories (Not saying thats a bad thing at all). I remember a time before the Wii when it wasn't about being with family, it was about being either with yourself or a room full of friends playing some 007 on N64 or Soul Calibur 2 (shit, I remember at one point me a shitload of friends would gather in my small room to play some 007)
Oh and Tails, now that I think about it, I'm kind of skeptical of a remake. I'm afraid they might tone it down too much and fuck it up, make it "family friendly" so everyone can play it. I hope they don't -,.,-;;

| I've seen some videos of Another M, it looks pretty good. Only real gripe I have about it is that Samus doesn't have that same mysterious factor (to a point) as she once did, we all know what she looks like, that she talks, etc. I haven't seen Skyward Sword yet and I haven't even heard about the Kirby game | |

| Its a console, just not one that has been doing too well because people want more "realism" which I can understand but at the same time thats what made Nintendo so great; It wasn't "real" it was fun. Not to say that you have to sacrifice one for the other but I personally liked how Nintendo did their style of games (I'm starting to ramble x,.,x) | |

Thats just my opinion, weather people want to portray it as a toy or console is really up to them. I think Nintendo could compete again if they weren't going for realism because its not their style, it never has been to tell the truth

| Toy or console? Well, to answer this question, look back at Nintendo's history (Minus the card manufacturing days). A lot of there games back then, though fairly wide variety, were focused and has always been focused towards family fun, kind of hence the name "Famicom" in japan which is abbreviated for "Family Computer"...Yeah they called consoles back then computers...I dunno, it's just what they did. So it makes sense Nintendo would continue down that road, especially with new age consoles and technology. Nintendo specifically made the Wii a "party console". Sure they have some play alone games for those who wish to go solo from time to time, but at the same time, they expected more of a family environment, to get the moms and dads to play with their kids. I don't know too many parents who actually like to sit down and play video games with their kids. I know my mom sure hasn't. So in a way, Nintendo wants to bring friends and family together when playing on Wii.
A lot of people tend to forget about this when they're scoring head shots with Halo and COD:MW2 and everything else with HD realism etc, etc. It's fairly easy to forget that Nintendo has always been family oriented.
They have tried to broaden their audience in the past buy incorporating PC games like "Doom" and other popular FPS's and such on PC. However they didn't really take off too well. They've also tried sports, which still isn't the biggest kicker out there for nintendo (Never did like many sports games anyways).
In any case, like I said, go back throughout nintendo's history and it's clearly visible they have always been family oriented and as well trying to be the most innovative (The wiimote isn't exactly "new" territory for them).
Also, look at the name itself...Wii..."As in we play", not, I play, but we play. The name basically implies a social gaming experience to get the most out of it, and to be honest, I have a lot of fun playing with friends, more than I do playing by myself (no one likes to play fighters or FPS's because I always have a 98.9% win rate -.-) so, we go to mutual territory. The Wii does a good job of keeping it enjoyable for everyone.
Anyways, that's my two cents.

| I have a friend going to stay for the weekend, he doesn't have a car and I live 15 minutes closer to town, and he is bringing his Wii so hopefully I will be able to play Brawl again. Plus I am unsure what games he has. I am excited though. | |
